Young Girl Found Alive After Florida Amber Alert Issued

A 2-year-old Florida girl who went missing in Immokalee was found alive after an Amber Alert was issued, authorities said.

Denise Hernandez was found in a field about a half mile from her home around 9:15 a.m., some 10 hours after she was reported missing, authorities said.

She had been last seen in the 400 block of Wells Street wearing a white pajama gown with multi-colored stripes, authorities said.

Police Dig For More Remains in Missing Boy Case

Authorities said her parents had put her bed, but when her father went to shut off his TV around 11:30, he noticed she was missing and the window to her room was open.

A child abduction response team was initiated with people coming from as far as Sarasota to assist.

Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding her disappearance and discovery.
